OXFORD — Ole Miss senior quarterback Jaxson Dart was one of four Rebels to be named first-team All-SEC Tuesday, as voted on by the conference’s coaches.
Dart, who became Ole Miss’ all-time leader in passing yards, total offense and wins by a starting quarterback this season, was joined by junior defensive tackle Walter Nolen, senior defensive end Princely Umanmielen and senior cornerback Trey Amos.
Junior linebacker Chris “Pooh” Paul Jr. was named to the second team while senior wide receiver Tre Harris, senior defensive tackle JJ Pegues, senior defensive end Jared Ivey and sophomore defensive end Suntarine Perkins were all third-team selections.
Dart, a USC transfer and three-year starter for the Rebels, leads the FBS in total offense, ranks second in passing efficiency and is fourth in passing yards. His 25 touchdown passes are a career-high and are tied for third-most in the SEC. Dart announced earlier this week he will play for the No. 14 Rebels (9-3, 5-3) in the Gator Bowl against Duke on Jan. 2. Dart is the first Ole Miss quarterback to make the Coaches All-SEC first team since Eli Manning in 2003.
Nolen, Umanmielen and Amos are all first-year transfers who thrived for the Rebels in 2024. Nolen, an Outland Trophy finalist who began his career at Texas A&M, has 14 tackles for loss, a career-high 6.5 sacks and was a stalwart up the middle all season for Ole Miss. Umanmielen, a Florida transfer, is tied for the team lead with 10.5 sacks despite missing time during the season with an injury. Amos, who most recently played at Alabama, has three interceptions, 13 pass breakups and is the fifth-highest graded corner in the SEC, per Pro Football Focus.
Paul, an Arkansas transfer, is a Butkus Award finalist and leads the Rebels with 88 tackles, including 11 for loss. Pegues and Ivey both transferred to Ole Miss prior to the 2022 season and have 13.5 tackles for loss and 10 tackles for loss this season, respectively. Ivey also has a career-high seven sacks. In his first season as a full-time defensive end, Perkins has 10.5 sacks and 14 tackles for loss.
Despite missing nearly half the season with injury, Harris is second in the SEC with 1,030 receiving yards, which also ranks 18th nationally.
