COLUMBUS — Columbus Soccer announced their community awards honoring the top coaches, volunteers and officials as voted by their peers and organization members.
“CSO’s fall recreational soccer league had over 500 players registered and that means a lot of people had to step up to coach this season,” CSO Director Tom Velek said in a press release. “They were family members, volunteers from the community, and even some college and high school players.”
Richard Lile and Allison Thompson were named the first ever co-recipients of Recreational Coach of the Year, Annabelle Brislin and Emily Briggs were named the TOP Soccer Buddies of the Year, and Reid Jackson was given the Many Pintican Young Referee of the Year award.
