STARKVILLE — Mississippi State freshman outfielder Dakota Jordan can add more accolades to his growing resume with the Bulldogs after receiving freshman All-American honors by Perfect Game on Thursday.
Jordan was named to the second team, joining six other Southeastern Conference freshmen named to a Perfect Game All-American list this season.
He continues a streak of eight-straight years with a freshman All-American for Mississippi State.
Jordan finished the season hitting .307/.397/.575 in 44 games played (41 starts) with 10 home runs, 40 RBIs, nine doubles, one triple and 29 runs scored. He made 34 of his 41 starts in left field.
In SEC play, Jordan hit .333 with eight home runs. He earned SEC All-Freshman team honors, the 13th Bulldog to be named to the team, and was named SEC Freshman of the Week following his Super Bulldog Weekend performance against Ole Miss.
