COLUMBIA, Mo. — Mississippi State cross country completed its first 6k meet of the season on Friday, participating in the Gans Creek Classic in Columbia, Missouri.
The event, hosted by Missouri, saw the Bulldogs finish seventh among 21 participating Division I schools.
Individually, junior Haley Ogle led Mississippi State with a personal best 6k time of 21:43.4, just 0.4 seconds better than teammate Ramat Jimoh. Jimoh, a freshman, was the other Bulldog runner to finish in the top-30 individually.
Among other finishers include Ogle’s younger sister, freshman Jaelyn Ogle, who finished 32nd overall with a time of 21:53.2.
Mississippi State’s next meet will be in Tuscaloosa, Ala. for the Crimson Classic on Oct. 13.
