NEW HOPE — New Hope High School football has found its new head coach: Allen Glenn.
Sources confirmed to The Dispatch late Friday afternoon that Glenn’s coaching hire was approved by the Lowndes County School District Board of Education.
“We are excited for the next chapter in New Hope football,” New Hope principal Matt Smith said. “Coach Glenn sold us on him and his ability to move our program forward. We are thrilled for him to start and bring his brand of football to New Hope and this very tough division. He is a man of integrity and dedication.”
Glenn recently stepped down at Petal High School after three seasons as head coach where he compiled a 12-20 record.
He replaces Seth Stillman, who was let go following an 0-10 season in 2024 for the Trojans.
“New Hope is a special community and one that my family is excited to become a part of,” Glenn said. “We are grateful for the opportunity to come in and help develop young men. We are excited to join the Trojan family.”
Prior to Petal, Glenn was the head coach at Amory High School from 2016-21, where he went 37-24 and won two district titles.
Amory reached the playoffs in all five years of Glenn’s tenure, going 3-5 in the playoffs.
“We are excited to come in and develop great relationships and build a winning mentality,” Glenn said. “We are excited about the pieces that are currently on the roster and excited about the younger groups coming up.”
