Caledonia running back Darrius Triplett was named offensive most valuable player in MHSAA Class 4A, Region 2 on Friday.
Triplett ran for 1,100 yards on 66 carries for the Cavaliers and caught six passes for 200 yards. He finished with 16 touchdowns and 18.1 yards per touch.
Offensive lineman Tyshawn Graham was named to the all-region first team, as were linebackers Brandon Chrest and Will Donald and defensive lineman Antwuan Adkins.
O-lineman Alex Mathews and fullback Curtavis Johnson made the second team on offense. Linebacker/safety Loren Cox and defensive backs Kewon Wyatt and Karsten Gullette made the second team on defense.
Caledonia finished the season 4-6 with a loss to Louisville in the first round of the Class 4A playoffs.
