Questions letter from NAACP leader
Surely state leaders of the NAACP do not condone a letter printed in both Columbus newspapers this week. It was written by Lavonne Latham-Harris who signed the letter as President, NAACP, Lowndes County Branch. Hopefully that letter will be seen and condemned by her superiors for the race baiting tactics she used in it.
I just wonder what Lavonne Latham-Harris was thinking and what her motives are when she says she knows what Mr. Blaylock is thinking and what his motives are. Anyone who knows Mr. Blaylock will tell you he’s not a racist as she implies more than once in her personal attacks on him.
Letters like the one Mrs. Latham-Harris wrote only hurt the reputation of the NAACP, especially since she wrote the letter as one of it’s representatives. So I’m hoping our top leaders of the NAACP will not just sweep this under the rug, so to speak.
