”The reality of the time”
I can relate to some of what has been said about the mural on the post office wall, because experience is always the best teacher. I was born and raised on a plantation similar to the one painted on the post office wall.
A reader commented that she was deeply moved by the beautiful painting on the wall. I question her judgment for not knowing what this painting reveals about the reality of that time.
I don”t see anything beautiful about those honest, hard-working days of blood, sweat and tears. It was all work and no play. We survived only with divine help.
