After reading Mr. Gilmore’s latest letter, I felt compelled to drop a few lines. It is painfully apparent that he is a die hard liberal Democrat. These sorts love to “stand up for the poor, oppressed people of the world”… especially if they think they can get them to vote for Democrats. Do I think ICE officers should have killed the people mentioned in his letter??? No, of course not. A less lethal taser should have been used. The common denominator in these ICE shootings and many other law enforcement shootings across our country is that the people shot are not complying with instructions from the officers.
Democratic leaders in Minneapolis urged their residents to protest and impede our ICE officers. That is the reason there was so much chaos in their streets. In regards to Mr. Gilmore’s statements concerning the percentage of illegal immigrants committing crimes compared to the number of US citizens, he needs to take into account the total number of each group. According to the last US census taken on April 1, 2020 there were 331,489,281 US citizens and only 62,080,044 Hispano or Latino. Citizens in our Country. Big difference in total number. Duh. Obviously these numbers are no loner in effect due to Biden’s FAILED open door policies. What a joke. The point most Democrats seem to miss is that if these illegal immigrants were never allowed to enter our Country they would have never been able to commit any crimes IN our country!!! Rather than allow Trump to enforce our immigration laws thru ICE, Democrats think illegal immigrants should be held in jail until a trial is scheduled for each of them in our courts. Meanwhile jails have to feed them while they wait for their trial dates. A logical person would think since they came into our Country illegally … why waste time and money … just go ahead and deport them and try to save US taxpayers some money.
It certainly would be nice if Democrats and Republicans could meet in the middle and try to do what’s best for our Country, I personally don’t see that happening anytime soon in today’s political climate. So sad.
