Seems that IBM AI watched the tennis final.
The US Open is over now. I am happy with the outcome. But I wonder how AI was able to correctly predict the results.
The prediction was 57% for Alcaraz. More importantly as the game progressed, IBM’s AI progressively increased the percentage. At the fourth set it was 89%.
In a sense, it was one sided game, but you never know.
Artificial intelligence can do many things including creating images, taking our order in any merchandise, making music and even helping to grow food. It is being used to make businesses more efficient, drive cars, create and check for errors in coding. Most importantly, it helps doctors with diagnosing and even in surgeries.
As a side note, this single performance game made the winners millionaires instantly. The winner for both men’s and women’s received $5 million prize money.
Namaste Tennis.
