Many of us can’t believe we have somehow completed one year under COVID-19, and we are still breathing normally. Tragically we have lost so many during the past year. May God bless those souls.
For the last four years, especially last year, unfortunately we haven’t had any good news! However, since January 20, I want to reiterate one big story by The Dispatch on March 12 which stated, “COVID-19 numbers vastly improving throughout Golden Triangle.” Readers, please read the whole story.
I am sure each one of us should appreciate the Biden’s first policy to combat COVID-19, which he did. We are seeing the results already, but I am certain what lies ahead. See mask mandate is gone from Texas and even from Mississippi. Why? Masks don’t kill, but COVID-19 kills.
It’s not Republican or Democrat! It is the human lives we are talking about. The first priority for every leader is to save human lives and then politics.
The CDC report published by the New York Times on March 12 states so far 19 percent of the U.S. population has been vaccinated (maybe highest in the world), and gradually this will reach 100 percent by the end of August.
Dispatch readers, please believe in science. So many things were overcome because of the intervention of science.
Finally, I would like to thank MSDH and our local health department for making plenty of vaccines available and offering them very systematically to the residents.
Life runs with a hope. Let’s hope for the best.
