COLUMBUS — Willie C. Golden, 67, died Jan. 12, 2011, at Baptist Memorial Hospital–Golden Triangle. Services are Monday at noon at St. Matthews MB Church with the Rev. Curtis Clay officiating. Burial will follow in St. Matthews Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday from noon until 5 p.m. at Lee-Sykes Funeral Home in Columbus. The family will greet from 4-5 p.m. Mr. Golden was born Dec. 31, 1943, in Columbus to the late Litton and Ella Golden Sr. He was retired from McCrary West Construction Co. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Bell-Golden of Columbus; children, Shelette Golden and Willette Golden of Akron, Ohio; stepchildren, Keith and Kevin Thomas of Akron Ohio, Toney M. Gordon of Bossier City, La., Aurby L. Bell Jr. of Columbus; sisters, Betty Lewis of Columbus, Johnnie Golden and Beulah M. Harper of Akron, Ohio, Lubertta Wade of Brunswick, N.J.; brothers, James Golden Sr. of Akron Ohio, Litton Golden Jr., Larry Golden and Charles Golden of Columbus; and three grandchildren.
