Vera Gray Flournoy

COLUMBUS — Vera “Tootsie” Gray Flournoy, 75, died Dec. 30, 2022.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, at Zion Gate M.B. Church. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from noon-5 p.m. today, at Lee-Sykes Funeral Home. Lee-Sykes Funeral Home of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Flournoy was born May 5, 1947, in Columbus, to the late Willie B. and Laura Gray. She was a graduate of R.E. Hunt School and was formerly employed with Bellsouth and at Stokes-Beard School. She was a member of Prairie Chapel M.B. Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Ina; and brothers, Willie B. Jr. and Van Barry.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur Flournoy; son, Kevin Flournoy of Houston, Texas; daughters, Twylia Reid of Savannah, Georgia, and EwuVonka of Birmingham, Alabama; brothers, John Barry of Browns Mills, New Jersey, MacArthur Gray of Columbus; sisters, Betsy Hurt of Raleigh, North Carolina, Gloria Wilson of Flint, Michigan, and Wyvonne Barry Stallings; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
