REFORM, Ala. — Sarah Marguerite O’Briant, 81, died Feb. 9, 2009. Services are today at 2 p.m. at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel in Reform with the Rev. Ralph Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Antioch Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Visitation is today for one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Mrs. O’Briant was born July 2, 1927, in Pickens County, Ala., to the late John and Maggie Latham Taylor. She was a homemaker and a member of Reform First Baptist Church. She attended Friendship Baptist Church in her later years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Pervie Oneal O’Briant; infant sons, John and James O’Briant; and five brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Celinda O’Briant Patton of Reform; son, Richard Oneal O’Briant of Northport, Ala.; three granddaughters and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Michael and Gary Shelton, Brandon Keasler, Josh Golson, David Kyzer and Allen Taylor. Memorials may be made to The Rise School of Alabama, P.O. Box 870305, Tuscaloosa, AL 35487.
