COLUMBUS — Louise F. “Mrs. T.” Hawkins, 83, died March 18, 2010, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Services are Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Greater Mount Olive MB Church in Columbus with the Rev. Joe Brooks officiating. Burial is at the Greater Mount Olive Church Cemetery. Visitation is today from 3-8 p.m. at Carter’s Funeral Service in Columbus and one hour prior to services at the church. Family hour is from 6-7 p.m. Mrs. Hawkins was born April 5, 1926, to the late Johnny Foster Sr. and Rosa Gray Foster. She was a resident of Lowndes County and a retired housekeeper for Dr. John Holliman. She was also a member of Greater Mount Olive MB Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Hayward Hawkins Sr.; brothers, Johnny Foster Jr., Freddie Foster, George Foster and Jimmy Foster; sisters, Mattie Will Dickerson and Hattie Drain. She is survived by daughters, Dorothy Punell, of Dyersburg, Tenn., and Deloris Brooks, of Columbus; sons, Hayward Hawkins Jr. and Robert Hawkins, both of Columbus; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
