MACON — Ida Hall, 79, died March 23, 2010, at Specialty Select Hospital of Jackson. Services are Sunday at 2 p.m. at Mount Zion MB Church in Macon with the Rev. O.J. Hudson officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation is Saturday from 1-5 p.m. at Carter’s Funeral Services chapel in Macon. Mrs. Hall was born April 23, 1930, in Cliftonville to the late James White and Ida Elizabeth Chesterfield. She was a member of the Mount Zion MB Church, where she served as Mother of the church, choir member, usher, Missionary Society member and Pastor Aid Committee member. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lindsey Hall; son, Lindsey Hall Jr.; and daughter, Yvonne White. She is survived by daughters, Gloria White, of Madison, Marjorie Hinton, of New York, Gwendolyn White, of Chicago, and Marilyn White, of Macon; sisters, Lula Smith, of Macon and Queen Washington, of Greenville; brothers, James White Jr. and Johnny Joseph White, both of New York, Samuel White, of Leland, and Henry Stewart, of Prairie Point; seven grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Pallbearers are Carl White III, James White Jr., Lorenzo Hall, Gregory White, Henry Lee Stewart and Eugene Smith.
