COLUMBUS — George David “Buck” Lee died Oct. 31, 2020, at hospice Hospital of Houston, Texas. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, in Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from noon-7 p.m. today, at Lee-Sykes Funeral Home. Lee-Sykes Funeral Home of Columbus is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Lee was born in 1950, to the late George and Earnestine Lee. He attended Union Academy, Hughes Elementary and R.E. Hunt. He was a veteran of the Marines and a member of St. James United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Ollie V. Lee; son, Phillip Lee; and two sisters. He is survived by his wife, Betty Lee; children, Jason Lee, David Lee, Stephen Lee and Jennifer Lee; step-children, Chris Porter, Francios Jones and Donna Jones; siblings, Donald Lee, Alvin Lee, Carl Lee, Denis Lewis, Don, Cheryl Mooreand Rosa Heard; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
