BROOKSVILLE — George “Outlaw” Lee Davis, 63, died Sept. 10, 2020, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, in Harrison Grave M.B. Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Joseph Mickens officiating. Visitation is from 2-6 p.m. today, at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Davis was born Jan. 21, 1957, in Brooksville, to Lucinda Mickens and the late Willie Williams. He was a graduate of Noxubee County High School. He was previously employed as a carpenter and was a member of Harrison Grove M.B. Church. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Shanklin Davis. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children, Yolande Williams of Raleigh, North Carolina, George Devon Lowery, Elton Durain Lowery both of Baytown, Texas, George Tavaris Davis of Brooksville, Georgette Tyneisha Davis of Huntsville, Alabama, Sabrina Binion, Jeremiah Davis and Jeremy Davis all of Macon; step-children, Keirra Shanklin, Jana Shanklin and Victor Shanklin all of Columbus; siblings, Geneva Clinton of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Joseph Davis, Willie C. Davis both of Columbus, David Davis of Shuqualak and Jacquline Robinson of Brooksville; and 17 grandchildren.
