Annie B. Jordan, 78, died March 9, 2009, at her residence in Columbus. Services are Saturday at 11 a.m. at Fifteenth Street Church of God in Christ with Elder Marion Bonner officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens in Columbus. Visitation is today from noon-6 p.m. with family hour from 5-6 p.m. at Lee-Sykes Funeral Home in Columbus. Mrs. Jordan was born Feb. 18, 1931, in Crawford to the late Charlie and Delia Bailey Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of Fifteenth Street COGIC. She is survived by her husband, John Henry Jordan; sons, Clarence Jordan of Kankakee, Ill., and Brian Jordan of Columbus; daughters, Charlene Buckner and Patricia Heath, both of Columbus; brothers, Willie Flower of Slidell, La., Charlie Smith of Kankakee and Jake Smith of Columbus; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Ernest Ellis, Pierre Hughes, Reggie Willis, Chaddrick O’Neal, Vernell Taylor and Monzell Smith.
