STARKVILLE — Arthur Dotsie “A.D.” Randle, 76, died March 1, 2009, at his residence. Services were Saturday at 11 a.m. at Rock Hill United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bernard Crump officiating. Burial followed at Rock Hill Cemetery. West Memorial Funeral Home in Starkville was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Randle was born May 6, 1932, in Starkville to the late Charlie Sr. and Lydia Randle. He worked in construction at Mississippi State University and was employed for many years with Vanlandingham Construction Co. He worked with B.F. Garrett Maintenance and retired from construction with Tony Miles Construction Co. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Franklin. He is survived by his daughters, Joella Shields and Linda Harmon, both of Starkville, and Lucille Holmes, of Cleveland; son, Frankie Randle of West Point; brother, Mosie Lee Randle of Starkville; sisters, Lucinda Alexander, Lucreasie Gandy, Rosie B. Elliott, and Mary and Katherine Randle, all of Starkville, and Willie Mae Randle, of Chicago; brother, Jack Franklin, of Starkville; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
