The Lowndes County YMCA will present a Zumba Master Class from 5:45-7:15 p.m. today, designed for everyone from beginners to seasoned dancers. There will be a $15 fee, profits of which will benefit the YMCA Zumba program.
On Saturday, a free Zumba Splash pool workout will be offered to the public at two of the YMCA branches, at the Caledonia pool from 9-10 a.m., and from 11:15-12:15 p.m. at the New Hope pool. Participants will need water shoes and a water bottle. The Caledonia and New Hope branches will offer Zumba Splash classes on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, beginning July 6th.
Also, the public is invited Saturday to a grand opening of the New Hope Kiddie Park.
“We”ve added a sandbox, new swing set, teeter-totter, tables, umbrellas and Nerf activity balls to make this area a kid-friendly playground for children and parents,” said Tommy Upton, New Hope YMCA director.
