STARKVILLE — A pedestrian injured Tuesday in a Blackjack Road hit-and-run was still in stable condition as of Thursday morning, according to Capt. Brett Watson with Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Office.
Destiny Mack, 25, is charged with aggravated assault and leaving the scene of an accident with injury.
Mack allegedly hit a pedestrian just after 5 p.m. at the intersection of Blackjack and Blair roads east of Starkville, then fled. She later turned herself in at Starkville Police Department, according to a sheriff’s office press release.
The victim was airlifted to Tupelo for treatment.
Mack was booked in Oktibbeha County Jail and her bond is set at $50,000.
