West Point
The West Point Clay County Arts Council is staging “Just Desserts” live on stage at the Louise Campbell Center for the Arts. Performances start at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, followed by a 2 p.m. matinee performance on Sunday. Tickets are $20 per person and can be purchased at Petal Pushers, the Growth Alliance or by calling the WPCC Arts Council at (662) 295-0461.

Columbus
The Eudora Welty Writers’ Symposium is returning for its 35th year. Twelve published authors will be sharing their work over the course of three days in Poindexter Hall on the Mississippi University for Women campus. On Oct. 20, sessions will run from 9:30 a.m. to noon and from 1:30-4 p.m. On Oct. 21, sessions will run from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. All symposium sessions and art exhibits are free and open to the public.

The T.K. Martin Center for Technology and Disability is hosting its annual Trick or Trot fun run on the Mississippi State University campus as a fundraiser for the T.K.
