Columbus
Mississippi University for Women will be hosting the eighth annual Music by Women Festival. Concerts will be held in Poindexter Hall all three days beginning at 10 a.m., noon, 3 p.m., 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. There will also be academic presentations including lecture-recitals, papers and demonstrations. Columbus
Golden Triangle Theatre will be putting on three performances of the musical “Oklahoma!” at the Lyceum at Lee. There will be a regular theatrical performance at 7 p.m. Friday, a dinner theater show at 6 p.m. Saturday and a matinee at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

Starkville
The Starkville Unit Boys & Girls Club is hosting its second annual Smart Girls Summit. There will be influential speakers and sessions focused on health, wellness and life skills. Keynote speakers include Starkville Mayor Lynn Spruill and Executive Director of Five Horizons Paulette Ferguson. The summit is intended for girls aged 8-18. Registration is required.

Starkville
The Starkville Photography Collective will be holding pink-themed mini photo sessions at the Starkville Area Arts Council to celebrate National Barbie Day. The 15-minute sessions are free and each participant will receive a minimum of 10 photos. Spots are available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., but must be reserved online in advance.

West Point
The Black Prairie Blues Museum is hosting an opening reception for an exhibit featuring the work of artist Bonnie Renfroe titled, “Little Red Rooster and Big Blue Hen.” The reception will include refreshments and an open blues jam. The cover charge is $5, plus a donation of arts and craft supplies.
