A 37-year-old Vardaman man died of head trauma early Monday in Memphis, Tenn., after accidentally flipping a four-wheeler in Clay County last week.
John Tharp, who was not wearing a helmet at the time of the wreck, apparently lost control of the ATV on Gilreath Road in north Clay County at about 11:22 p.m. Friday, according to the county”s chief deputy, Eddie Scott.
Tharp was airlifted to a Memphis hospital, where he was pronounced dead Monday. The wreck remains under investigation, according to Scott.
