WEST POINT – Two men were left injured after a shooting Thursday at Meadowbrook Drive.
Officers responded at about 4:30 p.m. to reports of a shooting near Meadowbrook Drive, where they found two men with gunshot wounds, according to a press release from West Point Police Department.
The two victims were taken by ambulance to a North Mississippi Medical Center-West Point. Their current conditions were not specified.
When reached by The Dispatch on Friday, Police Chief Michael Edwards said he could not comment on the case.
Police are seeking a person of interest that fled from the scene in a car “at a high rate of speed prior to law enforcement arrival,” the press release said.
The investigation remains ongoing.
