Two men are accused of raping and holding a woman against her will Wednesday, Columbus Police Department Public Information Officer Bryan Moore told The Dispatch.
Reginald Deshun Bradley, 41, of Columbus, is charged with two counts of rape and two counts of aggravated assault with a weapon.
Deundrea Addison, 37, also of Columbus, is charged with one count of rape, one count of kidnapping and felony theft of a motor vehicle.
Officers responded to a residence on Northside in reference to a woman in distress, who said she was raped. The victim was taken from the scene to Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle to receive a rape kit.
Moore said it is believed the victim was visiting the residence when Addison, one of the occupants of the home, and Bradley, who was invited inside, allegedly held her against her will with a weapon and began raping her.
At some point, Bradley allegedly hit Addison and began raping him too.
Bradley fled the home, Moore said, and Addison allegedly stole the victim’s vehicle, which was later recovered.
Bradley and Addison were both arrested and booked into Lowndes County Adult Detention Center on Wednesday. Bradley’s bond is set at $400,000, while Addison’s is set at $249,999.
Editor’s Note: The Dispatch typically does not identify alleged victims of sexual assault. However, since one of the alleged victims in this case is also a suspect, and to clearly establish the alleged order of events, that person is identified.
