A warrant served by the Lowndes County Metro Narcotics Unit led to the arrest of a Lowndes County couple. Michael James Peeks, 39, and Ashley Marie Gillian, 29, of 414 Forrest Blvd. were arrested Feb. 23 at Peeks’ home, 116 Sycamore Ln, in Steens.
Both were charged with possession of methamphetamine and child endangerment as a child was found in the home at the time of the arrest.
“The narcotics unit had a search warrant for Peeks’ home,” LCSO Chief Deputy Mark Miley said. “There were signs that meth had been manufactured on the premise. They are both charged with child endangerment for possessing narcotics with a child in the home.”
According to Miley, a 2003 Kia Sedona and $920 were seized during the arrests. Peeks was also arrested on an outstanding domestic violence warrant. His bond was set at $20,000. His court date is May 14.
Gillian’s bond was also set at $20,000. Her court date is May 14.
Miley released no further information regarding the child.

Shakia Renae Brown, 27, of 535 Jess Lyons Rd., was arrested Feb. 23 by LCSO and charged with possession of a weapon by a felon. Her bond and court date have not been set.
Andy Shea Thomas, 39, of 96 Kimberly Ln., was arrested Feb. 23 by LCSO and charged with burglary of a commercial building. His bond was set at $10,000. A court date has not been set.
Omar Rashod Beard, 28, of 349 Burgundy Dr., was arrested Feb. 23 b CPD and charged with domestic violence — third offense. His bond was revoked and his court date is March 21.
James Calvin Stevenson, 49, of 692 Crowe Rd., was arrested Feb. 24 by LCSO and was charged with possession of cocaine. His bond and court date have not been set.
Terry Walker, of 611 Forrest St. #6, Aberdeen, was arrested Feb. 24 by LCSO and charged with armed robbery. His bond was set at $35,000 and his court date has not been set.
Gary Gilmore, 24, of 418 Chestnut St., Tupelo, was arrested Feb. 24 by LCSO and charged with fondling. His bond was set at $25,000. His court date has note been set.
Eric Tordell Owens, 39, of 802 5th St., West Point, was arrested Feb. 26 by LSCO and charged with disobeying traffic control device, improper turn, no drivers license, no insurance and fleeing a vehicle. His bond was set at $7,500 and his court date has not been set.
Bryan Charles Gerben, 34, of 521 Sylvan Way, Pasadena, MD, was arrested Feb. 27 by LCSO and charged with two counts grand larceny. His bond was set at $20,000 and his court date has not been set.
Donald Lee Wiggins Jr., 27, of 2468 Nashville Ferry Rd., was arrested Feb. 27 by CPD and charged with false, forged or fraudulent prescription. His bond and court date have not been set.
William Alexander Rush, 41, of 40 Wood Glenn Ln., was arrested Feb. 27 by LCSO and charged with burglary. His bond and court date have not been set.
Renota Lasha Jones, 29, of 1617 Military Rd., was arrested Feb. 27 by LCSO and charged with felony false pretense. Her bond and court date have not been set.
Jessica Clarissa Orr, 26, of 3600 Wolfe Rd., was arrested Feb. 28 by LCSO and charged with forged, false or fraudulent prescription. Her bond and court date have not been set.
Alicia Lynn Smith, 22, of 14337 Hwy 12 E, Caledonia, was arrested Feb. 28 by LCSO and charged with three counts uttering forgery. Her bond and court date have not been set.
Gene Arthur Sherrod, 60, of 1011 4th St. S, was arrested Feb. 29 by CPD and charged with grand larceny more than $500. His bond and court date have not been set.
