Three women have been charged with aggravated assault following an attack on another woman on Dec. 17 in the 2000 block of Short Main Street.
Rokila Wallace, 24, Kierra Wallace, 21, and Riqula Dora, 24, were charged with one count each of aggravated assault, according to a Columbus Police Department press release.
Dora was arrested Dec. 29, and the Wallaces were arrested Jan. 3.
Chief Joseph Daughtry said the attack happened due to an ongoing dispute between the trio and another woman.
The victim, a 24-year-old woman, was “hit, kicked and struck with a bottle before having the bottle broken on her,” Daughtry said in the press release. The attack allegedly occurred when the victim was walking to her car.
All of the women knew each other, according to the press release.
Bond for each woman was set at $10,000. All three have posted bond, according to Lowndes County Sheriff Eddie Hawkins.
