Three people, including a juvenile, are behind bars after a series of Saturday night auto burglaries in hotel parking lots.
Columbus Police responded to the Econo Lodge at the 2000 block of Military Road at about 4:30 a.m. Saturday, according to a CPD press release.
At the scene, officers arrested Mozell Prince, 20, and a juvenile, CPD Public Information Officer Bryan Moore told The Dispatch. A few hours later, officers also arrested McKenzie Roby, 22, in connection to the burglaries.
Officers recovered credit cards, a wallet, and all the other personal items stolen from the cars during the arrests, Moore said.
Prince was charged with two counts of burglary of a vehicle, along with felony possession of marijuana. Roby was also charged with two counts of burglary of a vehicle, along with possession of a stolen firearm, which Moore said was not from the burgled vehicles.
The juvenile was also charged with two counts of burglary of a vehicle.
Both Prince and Roby were taken to the Lowndes County Adult Detention Center, while the juvenile was brought to the Lowndes County Juvenile Detention Center.
Bonds for Prince and Roby were set at $15,000.
Moore said more charges may be forthcoming, as other auto burglaries happened at a hotel on Sixth Street the same night.
