Investigations into a rash of auto burglaries have netted three arrests.
The Starkville Police Department arrested two juveniles in the Yellow Jacket Drive area Friday, which led to the arrest of Jarrett Sanchez Cummings, 20, of 307 Central Ave., Apt. 6, Tuesday.
Cummings was charged with one count of auto burglary and one count of burglary of a dwelling and is currently awaiting bond at the Clay County Jail.
The SPD urges all citizens to make sure that keys are not left unattended in the ignition of their vehicles for any period of time, that no items of value are left in the vehicles and doors are always locked when exiting the vehicle.
Citizens are further encouraged to record serial numbers and document any identifying information on all valuable items to aid in the identification and recovery should they be burglarized.
Citizens are advised to report any suspicious persons or activities to the Starkville Police Department at 662-323-4131.
