OKTIBBEHA COUNTY — A 16-year-old girl is missing, and the Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Department is asking the public to help find her.
Georgia Nicole Hodge was last seen in the Sanders Road area of Oktibbeha County on Friday afternoon. She is 5-foot, 1-inch and weighs about 135 pounds, according to an OCSO press release.
OCSO Captain Brett Watson said she was last seen wearing a black hoodie, white sweatpants and Crocs. He said Hodge has no known health issues and her method of travel is unknown.
The press release said Georgia may be in the Columbus area. Watson said OCSO has reached out to law enforcement agencies there and in every county surrounding Oktibbeha County to make every effort to find her.
“We have reached out to them and have sent them photographs and all the information we have available to us, and they have been as helpful as they can be to us,” Watson said. “Every surrounding county, we have reached out to, just in case.”
Anyone with information is asked to call the Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Office at 662-323-2421. In the press release, OCSO said any information provided would be treated confidentially and with sensitivity.
