WEST POINT – Police arrested a suspect Monday in connection to a shooting on Meadowbrook Drive that sent two men to the hospital.
Jalon Little, 24, is charged with aggravated assault manifesting extreme indifference to life, according to booking information from Clay County Detention Center.
Little, who police identified Sunday as a person of interest, was booked into the detention center Monday afternoon.
Officers responded at about 4:30 p.m. Thursday to reports of a shooting near Meadowbrook Drive, where they found two male victims suffering gunshot wounds. The victims were taken to North Mississippi Medical Center-West Point for treatment.
Little is believed to have fled the crime scene in his car prior to officers arriving.
Assistant Chief Harold Harris told The Dispatch on Monday he was unaware of the victims’ current conditions.
