Two Starkville men are in jail after police arrested them for multiple counts of credit card fraud and conspiracy.
Starkville police arrested 20-year-old Brian Bonds and 18-year-old Curtis Anderson on multiple warrants on Thursday. Anderson was arrested on suspicion of three counts of felony credit card fraud and one count of misdemeanor credit card fraud. Bonds was arrested on suspicion of three counts of felony conspiracy to commit a crime, one count of misdemeanor credit card fraud and one count of misdemeanor conspiracy to commit a crime.
According to an affidavit The Dispatch obtained from Starkville municipal court, Bonds wrote down the debit card number of at least one victim and shared it with Anderson to make about $550 worth of purchases at Foot Locker, Nike and Domino’s Pizza. He also used the debit card to make a separate $15.14 purchase from Domino’s Pizza.
Anderson and Bonds are in the Oktibbeha County Jail on $16,000 and $17,000 bond, respectively.
Felony fleeing
In a separate matter, police arrested 30-year-old Douglas Jones, of Starkville for ten warrants on Thursday.
Officers arrested Jones for felony failure to stop a motor vehicle when officer signals, no insurance, reckless driving, six counts of disregard for traffic devices and violating the terms of a previous municipal court sentence.
Jones’ warrants were issued after an Aug. 6 incident where Jones fled officers in a vehicle and then on foot.
Jones is in the Oktibbeha County Jail on a $9,098 bond.
