A Starkville man died in a two-vehicle wreck Thursday on Highway 25.
John B. Bush, 62, was west bound on Longview Road at the intersection of Highway 25 when he failed to yield the right of way and was struck by Jimmy Pannell, 66, of Columbus, at approximately 1 p.m.
Bush was pronounced dead at the scene. Neither Pannell nor his passenger, Eddie Martin, 44, of Columbus, were injured in the wreck. Both were wearing seat belts.
Pannell was north bound on Highway 25 when his 1998 Ford Ranger struck the driver side of Bush”s 1999 Toyota Corolla. The wreck occurred approximately one-and-a-half miles south of Starkville.
The wreck is still under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
