STARKVILLE — A Starkville man is behind bars after being charged with possession of child pornography.
Zackary Tucker, 35, was taken into custody on Chestnut Drive Monday morning by Starkville Police Department, which had obtained a warrant for his arrest. Tucker was transported to the Oktibbeha County Jail.
SPD Public Information Officer Brandon Lovelady told The Dispatch that Tucker would have an initial appearance before a judge Tuesday.
According to Tucker’s LinkedIn page, he has been an audiovisual systems engineer at Mississippi State University since April 2019.
Tucker is no longer employed by the university, and MSU has been cooperating with law enforcement as the investigation proceeds, Sid Salter, vice president of strategic communications, said in an email to The Dispatch.
SPD said in its release the investigation is ongoing and more charges may follow.
