STARKVILLE – A pair of suspects arrested in August for a drive-by shooting on Orchard Lane were transferred this week to Starkville Police Department custody.
Tommie Taylor, 44, is charged with the shooting, while Sharon Jordan, 43, is charged with accessory after the fact. Both suspects are from Starkville.
Police responded at about 6:42 p.m. Aug. 15 to Orchard Lane, where a vehicle and residence had been struck by gunfire. Both were occupied at the time of the shooting, but no one was injured, an SPD press release said.
The suspects knew the victims, SPD Public Information Officer Sgt. Brandon Lovelady said.
After SPD identified the suspects, the U.S. Marshal’s Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Taylor and Jordan Aug. 28 in Gary Indiana, the press release said. Lovelady told The Dispatch the suspects were delivered Wednesday to SPD.
They remain in Oktibbeha County Jail with bonds set at $250,000 each.
