STARKVILLE — Starkville Police Department is investigating a Tuesday accident between a Starkville-Oktibbeha Consolidated School District bus and another vehicle.
According to SPD Public Information Officer Sgt. Brandon Lovelady, the accident happened on Highway 182 at Endotha Road at about 5:26 p.m.
SOCSD Public Information Officer Haley Montgomery told The Dispatch in a text message there were no students on board the bus at the time of the accident, and the bus driver and bus monitor were not injured.
Two other cars were involved in the accident, including a compact car and an SUV, SPD Sgt. Chris Jackson told The Dispatch on Wednesday morning. The woman driving the compact car was taken to OCH Regional Medical Center for her injuries before being airlifted to North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, he said.
The accident is still under investigation, Lovelady said.
