Police are investigating gunshots fired Saturday night at an after-prom party at Columbus Fairgrounds.
Columbus Police Department Public Information Officer Bryan Moore said the shots were fired at about 11:11 p.m. in a crowd outside of the Fairgrounds’ main building. Moore said “between 40 and 50” shots were reported.
Columbus High School students who had been attending prom earlier in the evening were in attendance, Moore said, though the event was a private party. Moore said he did not know what led to the gunfire, or how many people were in attendance when the shots were fired.
There were no injuries reported, Moore said, though three vehicles were struck by bullets.
CPD had not yet made any arrests in the shooting as of Monday afternoon, but the investigation is ongoing, Moore said.
