Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office is looking for two suspects in connection with a Wednesday night armed robbery at a New Hope Dollar General.
Sheriff Eddie Hawkins told The Dispatch the robbery happened about 9:30 p.m., as the store was preparing to close.
Two Black male suspects dressed head-to-toe in black, including masks and gloves, entered Dollar General at 1928 Lake Lowndes Road, brandished a shotgun and demanded the cash out of the register, Hawkins said.
The two bandits fled into the night in an unknown direction, Hawkins said.
The clerk was not injured, Hawkins said.
