A suspect in a rape is now in custody after turning himself in to the police.
Randy Pratt, 19, of Columbus, was arrested on Wednesday evening on charges of sexual battery and aggravated assault, Columbus Police Department Public Information Officer Bryan Moore said.
Pratt is accused of raping a female victim on the morning of May 29. CPD officers responded to Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle that afternoon. CPD put out a warrant for Pratt’s arrest on Monday.
Pratt is being held at the Lowndes County Adult Detention Center. His bond is set at $50,000 for each charge.
