Power has been fully returned to Lowndes County.
Last Wednesday’s snowstorm left over 30,000 electric power authority customers without power statewide at its height, including around 2,500 outages in Lowndes County and 1,500 outages in Clay County.
Residents in Caledonia and across northern Lowndes County were left in the dark longer than most, with around 1,500 Monroe County EPA customers reporting power outages last Friday morning.
Officials with Monroe Co. EPA told The Dispatch power had been restored to their entire network Friday night.
Utilities linemen from Arkansas, Tennessee and Southern Mississippi came to help local crews restore power, according to North Mississippi public service commissioner Brandon Presley.
