The Columbus Police Department is searching for a teenager they believe shot and killed a man and wounded another at a graduation party held at the Columbus Fairgrounds early Friday morning.
Kale Scott, 19, of Columbus, is wanted by the police department for his alleged role in the shooting, according to CPD Chief Tony Carleton.
Devin Montgomery, 21, died of a gunshot wound at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle. He was pronounced dead at 12:50 a.m. Lowndes County coroner Greg Merchant said the shooting occurred around midnight.
Another male was shot in the leg and treated at BMH-GT for non-life threatening injuries, Merchant said.
