WEST POINT – Police are searching for an armed and dangerous suspect who allegedly robbed a convenience store Saturday night.
The suspect was captured on security footage breaking into Robinhood Convenience Store on Eshman Avenue at about 10:05 p.m. Saturday, according to a Facebook post from the West Point Police Department.
The suspect is a Black male, at least 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs about 140 pounds. He was wearing a black jogging suit, black mask and black tennis shoes. Police said he fled the scene on foot but may have gotten into a vehicle farther down the road.
Police are urging residents in the area to review their security cameras for any video that could assist the investigation.
Anyone with information about the robbery is encouraged to contact WPD, call 911 or Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers at (800) 530-7151.
