The Columbus Police Department are investigating the following:

On Wednesday, 23 May 2012, at 12 a.m. an officer was dispatched to 300 Holly Hills Road, Rivergate Apartment Complex in reference to shots fired. Upon arrival, he spoke with a male resident who pointed him in the direction of the shots. The officer spoke with residents near the area, who stated they heard the shots but could not give any other information. The officer found and collected 380 caliber casings they were given to investigations.

On Wednesday, May 23, 2012, an officer was dispatched to 2200 10 Ave South in reference to stolen property. Upon arrival, he spoke with Mr. Rafael Jenkins, who stated that his house had been broken into. He stated that he was in the process of moving on Saturday, May 19, 2012 around 12:00 p.m. and left around 2:00 p.m. Jenkins said when he arrived yesterday, he noticed that his front door was unlocked. He stated that when he left, he locked both doors there were no signs of forced entry. He noticed his Amana 3.5 cubic feet washer and 6.7 cubic feet dryer that was located in the kitchen were missing. Two pedestals were also missing from the kitchen which had the model number of HP1000SQ66 that valued at $90.00 a piece for a total of $180.00. The model number for the washer is NFW730044 and serial number is HL12230528 that valued at $810.00 with the NIC A760251859. The model number for the dryer is NED7300WW and serial number is M11611160 that valued at $665.00 with the NIC number A230246911. The total value for all of the missing items is $1655.00.

On May 23, 2012, officers were called to Dollar General to with speak District Store Manager Gary Foster. He said on May 15, 2012 at approximately 9 p.m., a white male, unknown age came into the store and broke into the office in the back of the store. The male, once inside the office, went through an employee’s purse; the male subject took the wallet out of the purse and left the office. Once outside the office, the male looked through the wallet but did not finding anything. He threw the wallet on the shelf behind the bleach. On May 21, 2012 at around 9:20 p.m. hours, the same male subject came back into the store and broke into the office again. The male was seen on video going through the office, he did not appear to have taken anything. The suspect was seen talking to two other white male subjects briefly in the store during this time.

On Wednesday May 23, 2012, an officer was dispatched to 413 East Gaywood Road in reference to a burglary of a home. Upon arrival, he spoke with Mr. Marcus and Corey Thomas. Both stated they left the house around 9 a.m. and returned around 2 p.m. Mr. Marcus Thomas stated the following items were missing, Xbox 360 ($299.00), Five Xbox games ($250.00), Three Xbox Controllers ($90), PS3 ($399.00), Five PS3 games ($250.00), Two PS3 controllers ($100.00), and Five Red Polo T- shirts ($225.00).

At approximately 1725 hours on Wednesday, 23 May, 2012, an officer dispatched to 1017 Moss Street in reference to a burglary of a home. Upon arrival, the officer met with the complainant, Ms. Charlene Stork. She stated that the house is unoccupied and she came to check on it to see if the grass needed mowing. When she went inside, she noticed that the back door had been pried opened and two lawn mowers were missing. One of the mowers was new, and she estimated the value at around $130.00, and the other mower was used, valued at around $50.00.
