Only the pizza was injured Tuesday night when someone attempted to rob a pizza delivery man on 12th Avenue South in Columbus.
The Columbus Police Department responded to a call that a pizza delivery man was robbed on the 1100 block of 12th Avenue South about 10:35 p.m.
When officers arrived, the victim was uninjured, the suspect had fled the scene and the pizza was on the ground.
Police say the suspect approached the victim and tried to physically take the pizza from him. The delivery man fought back. One of them dropped the pizza in the scuffle. Its toppings are unknown.
Officers said the suspect did not try to take any money.
The incident remains under investigation.
