One 19-year-old male victim was taken to the hospital following a Monday evening shooting on Northside.
Officers arrived at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle at about 6:40 p.m. Monday in reference to the victim, who suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound during a shooting on Waterworks Road, according to Bryan Moore, public information officer for Columbus Police Department.
The victim and one perpetrator are the only people believed to be involved in the shooting, Moore said.
A suspect has been identified, Moore said, though he was not in custody by presstime Tuesday.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information pertaining to the shooting is asked to contact CPD at (662) 244-3500 or Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers at (800) 530-7151.
