Two unrelated Lowndes County shootings, both by juveniles, left one man dead and three injured within less than 24 hours Thursday.

Ronagal Outlaw, 17, shot and killed Trumaine Macon, 23, shortly after midnight at the Crossroads Lounge, located on the Oktibbeha-Lowndes county line. Macon was pronounced dead at Oktibbeha County Hospital. Both men were Starkville residents.

Outlaw, who turned himself in, was charged with murder and is being held at the Lowndes County Adult Detention Center on a $200,000 bond.

In another incident Thursday night, a Columbus teen was charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a weapon after allegedly shooting two people and accidentally shooting himself.

Dekota King, 19, allegedly shot Elonzo Latham, 20, in the right arm and Demarco Curry, 22, in the left leg around 8:16 p.m. at 1006 Ninth St. N.

Officers with the Columbus Police Department were called to Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle after Latham and Curry arrived in the emergency room with gunshot wounds. While the men were giving statements to the police, King arrived with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the hand. He was identified as the shooter and arrested.

A .45 caliber handgun believed to be used in the shooting was found in a vehicle belonging to a friend of King. The incident is still under investigation.

King appeared before Municipal Court Judge Marc Amos Friday morning and received a $50,000 bond for the two aggravated assault counts.
