As Oktibbeha County Circuit Court continued to wind down this week and the halls of the Oktibbeha County Courthouse Annex emptied, Judge Lee Howard was on hand to dole out a number of sentences.
Howard on Wednesday sentenced Stevie Pace to 10 years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections for felony shoplifting over $500. Howard also ordered Pace to pay a $1,000 fine and $596 in restitution.
Howard did not accept the guilty plea of Jeremy Beverly for one count of sale of marijuana less than 30 grams and instead gave Beverly three years probation. Beverly also must pay a $250 fine and $200 in restitution.
Howard did not accept the guilty plea of Bruce Davis for one count of possession of hydrocodone and instead gave Davis five years probation. Howard also ordered Davis to pay a $2,000 fine.
Howard sentenced Shenotta Harrison to five years in the MDOC for identity theft, but suspended the sentence and instead gave Harrison five years probation. Harrison also must pay a $750 fine and $324.35 in restitution.
Jerin Collins pleaded guilty in Judge Jim Kitchens” courtroom to one count of sale of marijuana, but will not be sentenced until Oct. 22.
