A minor was hospitalized Sunday after being shot in an East Columbus neighborhood, according to a Columbus Police Department press release.
Officers responded to Redwood Street Sunday at about 3:55 p.m. in response to a shooting. They found shell casings when they arrived but no victims.
Soon after, police confirmed a Black male minor had been driven to Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle to be treated for a gunshot wound. His current condition is unknown.
No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, and the case remains under investigation. Anyone with information related to the shooting is asked to contact CPD or Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers at (800) 530-7151.
